The Dipper is a compact longboard shape that measures 36" long and 8.65" wide. It's similar to the Ripper, but even more compact for tighter carves and more agility. A slightly flexy ride and the long wheelbase give it a playful, surfy ride and plenty of lean in the turns. A mellow concave and a good amount of rocker will have your feet feeling comfortable on this board from the first ride. We set this board up with Polar Bear 105 for the most agile and responsive ride possible and finished it off with a set of Fatty Hawgs 63mm 78a wheels to keep the board nice and light while still providing a fast and smooth ride.
FLEXIBILITY
So, what is flex and why is it important for a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a board sees when a specific force is applied to it. Check out our formula on the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire line to the test by applying the exact same force to all of our boards and measuring the displacement we saw in each. This results in a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! Understanding flex is important when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when bombing or grabbing a turn at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to dig into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruising, dancing, and mountain bike boards will have less flex for control when performing tricks, but just enough to be forgiving when getting around town. We've designed our boards with the best flex for each riding style, but remember that flex is subjective, so see what you like best!

Ideal for the mini cruiser that every skater needs in their quiver. The 105mm Polar Bears are strong, agile, and ready to take on the tightest turns. Sold in pairs. The harder the bushings, the more stable the ride, but this translates to less agility—our Dinghy, for example, comes with 88a bushings.
